I love making classic chocolate chip cookies, and specifically this recipe from the Food Network. I like my cookies with a cake-y texture and the way the ingredients come together in this recipe make them extra yummily fluffy!

As I was backing up my photos, I noticed that my food photo-snapping habits totally pre-dated this blog. Since this is my food adventure scrapbook, I’m going to start archiving them here as well.

The best thing about Ethiopian food: it’s acceptable to eat with your hands!
They claim Price’s Chicken Coop serves the best fried chicken in the world. I think it’s pretty close. You’ll just have to go out there to try it yourself. But at least I can aid you with some perspective:
The place is located in South End, one of Charlotte’s most charming areas filled with remnants from the past. You can grab some pretty good milk shakes at Pike’s Old Fashioned Soda Shop just down the street.
Don’t expect seats, a counter is all that you’ll find.
They have quite a comprehensive menu even suitable for picky eaters who prefer dark or white meat.
And when it’s good ol’ fashioned food like this, it’s packaged the good ol’ fashioned way:
in a box. Which opens up to some really yummy goodness.
