Stuffed Florentine Steak (With Cold Cucumber Soba)

Steve asked me to cook at his place, so I decided to create something colorful. I made cold cucumber soba for him once (when we were a bit intoxicated and hungry), so he asked me to make it again.

  • For the steak, I stuffed it with spinach, bacon, bell peppers, and blue cheese. Bacon and bell peppers were sauteed first before being wrapped into the steak. I made sure the steak stayed in place by using toothpicks, then stuck it in the oven at 450 degrees until steak was medium rare.
  • The soba was simply fresh cut cucumbers, soba noodles, and a mixture of teriyaki sauce and sesame oil.

Ended dinner with a “pizookie” - a pizza cookie with ice cream on top!
